Nritya Samsrti is a Barathanatyam institution functioning at Chennai. Established in the year 2010, this institution is a registered trust that has 140 Plus students learning under “Nritya Samsrti”. Having been greatly inspired by Mahakavi Bharathi, our institution has always had a vision to spread the art intensely yet benevolently. We not only focus on training the students to be good performers but also teach them values that improve them as an individual. Many of our students successfully had their Arangetram amidst learned artists and eminent audience. The main mission of our institution is to make this divine art form affordable to all categories of people. Of recent times this has been considered as expensive performing art form and not approachable by the common people. We at our institution intend to make way to many unaffordable children learn and perform in the best way possible. “Either do it right or don’t do“ is our mission Nritya Samsrti firmly surmises in quality over quantity, hence our school lays out the art for people invariable of their age as it is believed to be just a number. With more than 140 students learning under this Institution, Smt. Vaidehi Harish has made many of her students perform at various Sabhas during the Music and Dance festival. In addition, she has done various thematic dance presentations that have been greatly appreciated. “Nritya Samsrti” not only focuses on Barathanatyam, but also encourages children to participate in many social activities like environmental campaigning, tree planting, teaching value education to the down trodden kids . The trust has also adopted orphan kids from two different orphanages. We also regularly support such organizations for their livelihood.



About Guru





Smt. Vaidehi Harish is a senior disciple of Guru. Sangeet Natak Academy Awardee Smt. Ranganayaki Jayaraman. She had her early lessons from Guru Smt.Nirmala Prabhakaran at Hyderabad, and came under the tutelage of Smt. Ranganayaki Jayaraman at Sri Saraswathi Gana Nilayam in the year 2003. Having had her arangetram in 2006, she has been actively performing both solo recitals and Group Programs under the able Guidance of her guru. She had the privilege of performing in many prestigious Sabhas like Karthik Fine Arts, Mylapore Fine Arts, Parthasarathy Swami Sabha and Brahma Gana Sabha. She has also travelled to the USA, Canada, Colombo and Muscat to perform in the Dance Drama Productions of Smt. Ranganayaki Jayaraman. She has been awarded “Best performer Award” consequently for two years by Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha and “Best Performer of the year” award by VDS Arts Academy in the year 2012. Smt. Vaidehi Harish has been assisting her guru on the Nattuvangam ever since a very young age of 18 yrs. From then she has been well recognised for her commendable Nattuvangam and Choreography. Being well versed in vocal music, Veena and nattuvangam, she is also getting trained in the nuances of abhinaya from Guru Kalaimamani Smt Jayanthi Subramaniam. Her Abhinaya and stage presence has won the credits of many learned artists. Having done a Masters in Barathanatyam from the University of Madras, she established her own school of Barathanatyam “Nritya Samsrti” in the year 2010, and is steadily progressing towards her vision. Smt. Vaidehi Harish has produced many successful solo and group programs with her splendorous choreography. Being a young upcoming artist, Vaidehi strides forward with confidence and is optimistic of perfecting the art.
