Many young passionate dancers and students are extremely demotivated without a platform to showcase their talent and passion. Many have even gone to the extreme of giving up on the art form and have started looking for other ways of livelihood. Many have lost hope that this art form could ever be their source of life. Barathanatyam is the cultural pride of Tamilnadu. Born in the Tamil land, it is our duty to save this art form from losing its value and importance. Like the saying “Rich get richer and poor get poorer”, it has become a fact that only those who are rich can afford to dance on a huge stage and those potential dancer who do not have money can only watch the others dancing. As our trust is formed to bring up the real talents from the downtrodden community, we wish to change the existing scenario. As an initiative towards it, Nritya Samsrti comes up with a solo series of Barathanatyam recital titled “NATYA MAHARAMBHAM”. Maharambham means a great beginning. As the title suggests, this would be platform for young upcoming artists who are in the beginning of their professional career. In this festival, the artists will be provided with a good stage, light and will be given an opportunity to perform among huge audience and a learned chief guest. If you are the one among those potential artists who are suffering out of this situationn. Write us on nrityasamsrti@gmail.com
